7 Scents

When I thought about improving my life, whether I was thinking about boosting my productivity, mood, or immune system, aromatherapy was not the first tool I thought of, but I have recently learned that maybe it should have been. Smell is the strongest of the senses and is one of the best ways to influence brain activity.

Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of aromatic substances for holistic healing with the aim of improving a person’s health or mood.

Aromatherapy is utilized two ways:

  • Inhalation - the essential oils evaporate into the air using a diffuser container, spray, or oil droplets, or breathed in, for example, in a steam bath - or

  • Topical application - massage oils, and bath and skin care products are absorbed through the skin.

As I have learned more about aromatherapy and its many uses, I wanted to share with you my top 7 list of scents recommended for boosting your mood, immune system, and productivity.
