SWEET AND SPICY BAKED CHICKEN W/ PEROGIES
INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed

1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash garlic and herb

1 teaspoon garlic salt
-
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
-
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
-
2 tablespoons panko crumbs
-
4 large chicken breasts (7oz | 200g each)

1 tablespoon olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 425°F

Using a meat mallet, pound each chicken breast to about 2 cm at the thickest part. Make sure your fillets are all the same thickness to ensure even cooking.

Combine sugar, cayenne pepper, Mrs. Dash, garlic salt, onion powder,black pepper and panko.

Drizzle chicken with the oil and rub seasoning all over to evenly coat.

Bake chicken in preheated oven for 20-22 minutes, or until internal temperature is 165°F (75°C) using a meat thermometer. It should be golden with crisp edges.*
***Suggested side:
Pierogies cooked over medium heat (8 minutes each side) in olive oil with diced onions and chopped garlic.
